The Slightest Thing can Make the Biggest Impact

“…But I was indeed sway’d from the point by looking down on Caesar. Friends am I with you all, and love you all, upon this hope, that you shall give me reasons why, and wherein, Caesar was dangerous.” - Act 3 Scene 1, Pg. 120, 218-220

Antony’s whole world is around Caesar, Antony loves him, honors him, respects him, and would do anything for him. But everything changes when Caesar is murdered. Antony’s honor for Caesar is sting and now he is thriving revenge on the conspirators who killed his mighty Caesar. The conspirators light something on fire in Antony and they have no idea what is heading for them and yet does Antony.

Honor drives Antony, not to him self-but to the mighty Caesar, his friend. Antony started off as a sideman but then grew on Cesar. Over the years of Caesar rising to the crown, him and Antony became very good, trustworthy friends. Antony is at the funeral of Caesar.
“Bear with me. My heart is in the coffin there with Caesar, and I must pause till it come back to Me.” –Act 3 scene 2, Pg. 134, 103-105 Antony is speaking of Caesar and it is getting hard on him, Caesar was his best mate and now that Caesar is gone so is Antony. Antony’s heart was with Caesar and now is dead, Antony’s life is over. Antony must take a while, until he is ready to keep talking about it, he is over whelmed. Antony’s honor is defiantly shown in this. Antony will tell the public what actually happened for Caesar’s benefit. Caesar has been brutally stabbed in the back by one of his closest friends. Antony is still at the funeral of Caesar.
“But yesterday the word of Caesar might have stood against the world; now lies he there, and none so poor to do him reverence.” – Act 3 scene 2, Pg. 136, 116-11. Antony is saying that Caesar is so strong as a person that he cold stand up against the world, but now he cant because he is dead. And no one even the poorest of them all could have such deep respect for him as Caesar did for them. Because of what the conspirators have done Antony is hungry for revenge and will do anything to bring them down.

Revenge is now jutting through Antony's veins. The death of Caesar has made him question all around him. But just because Caesar is dead doesn’t mean he doesn’t care about him anymore, it is the total opposite. The conspirators have bitten off more than they can chew and Antony's is going make them wish they didn’t take that bite. Antony wont kill them he will make them kill each other and them selves. Antony is now alone with Caesar’s dead body and is apologizing that he wasn’t there and that he was pretending that he was nice to them. “A curse shall light upon the limbs of men; domestic fury and fierce civil strife shall cumber all the parts of Italy; blood and domestic violence shall be so in use, and dreadful objects so familiar, that mothers shall but smile when the behold their infant quartered with the hands of war” – Act 3 scene 1, Pg. 124, 262-268 Caesar death has impacted the whole of Italy, war will strike, blood and violence will be everywhere, and mothers will wish that their children were dead rather than living through this. It will be horrible and all thanks tot the conspirators. The conspirators don’t know what they have started. Antony is talking to the public. “Through this the well-beloved Brutus stabbed………. for Brutus, as you know, was Caesars angel. Judge, O you gods, how dearly Caesar lov’d him. This was the unkindest cut of all; ingratitude, more strong than traitors’ arms, quite vanquish’d him: then burst his mighty heart. – Act 3 Scene 2, Pg. 140, 174 179-184 Brutus was Caesars friend, and he betrayed him, this was the stab that killed Caesar and burst his heart, because Caesar trusted Brutus and he turned him back on him. By Antony sating this he is grabbing the audience and persuading them to be on his side not Brutus and the others.

Antony has honor for Brutus and had revenge for his murders. By the killing it cause Antony to behave differently, Antony wanted revenge and didn’t care about anyone on the other team. Antony achieved his goal but wasn’t expecting a war to come out of it, Brutus and Cassius ended up killing themselves and the rest I guess died in war so Antony is proud of him self not for the war but for standing up for the right thing. Standing up for his friend, Caesar. Antony's goal was noble, he showed every one how much he cared about Caesar and what he would do for him, risk his life to defend Caesar.

Writing Reflection

I feel that my ideas and concepts fall into place and everything connects but there is always room for improvement. I also feel that i have really improved since i wrote my alchemist. essay. I think that when i got my comments from that i used those comments to improve on. Improved by the grade as well, my alchemist essay grade wasn't that great but i really felt proud with the grade i got for this essay my shakes-speare essay. I learned entusiastically on this essay by taking what i had learnt in the previous essay and used it to improve on the one i was handed.
